Weekly Special Events
EVERY Wednesday – Curry Nights at Strange Concept Auburn
Every Wednesday night is a special locals night – a mid week gathering of people from the village of Auburn and the wider Valley community.
We call it Curry in a Hurry – but there is no need to rush, just come in and enjoy full table service and a changing menu of mouth watering Indian specialties and treats. We even have special guest chefs join Lenny to help showcase the diversity of great Indian cuisine from across the continent. Come and enjoy delicious charcoal skewers or delicious curries with naan, paratha, rice, raita and papadums.
Of course everyone is welcome!

TWO very special weekends of feasting with Luke MacLeod & Lenny Giri
Lenny is thrilled to announce that his good friend and Michelin Star Chef Luke MacLeod is coming to spend some time with us in the Valley. Luke is the head Chef at Restaurant Sandikala in Galan, France in the Hautes-Pyrénées. Lenny and Luke met more than 25 years ago, working together in Victoria.
Together, Luke and Lenny will cook a feast for locals and visitors alike using three venues over the weekend: the Strange Concept Auburn Restaurant, the historic Auburn Institute and the Wykari Wines of Clare vineyard.
Other venues will be announced closer to the dates.

Tuesday 14th July 2026 – Bastille Day celebrations
Lenny and the team at Strange Concept Auburn hosted a beautiful night of classic French cuisine. It was a real celebration as this was their first Bastille Day feast in the new Auburn venue. July 14th is also Lenny’s birthday, so it was extra special for him.
A full house of happy customers enjoyed the French delicacies lovingly prepared by Lenny and the team.
